Toter

Fashion designInternship at by-wire.net

With the help of fashion designer Malu Versteeg, Rowan Verbraak designed and created this off-white leather tote bag that makes it much easier to reach for stuff due to the shape. User-observations showed that some individuals had difficulty reaching inside tote bags they were wearing on the shoulder.

Accompanying the bag is a brooch made of tufted conductive yarn, acting as a stroke sensor. By stroking the fibers with one hand, the straps of the bag increase in length thus lowering the bag. With an almost stretched arm one can grab stuff much more effectively.
